Latin Jazz with the Melaza Project
Melaza (molasses) is a homage mix of Caribbean basin dancing music and Latin Jazz. The band: Hector Davila aka Chegüi Metralla (piano/vocals) has shared the stage Luisito Carrión, Cano Estremera, DLG, N?Klave, Brenda K. Starr, Herman Olivera, Frankie Vazquez, and more. Dave Schumacher (Bari/Tenor/Flute) has toured with the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, T.S. Monk on Monk Ensemble, Tom Harrell Octet and Big Band and the Harry Connick, Jr. Orchestra. Charlie Garcia (Trombone) has performed with Ricardo Arjona, Willie Colon, Joe Bataan, Celia Cruz, La India, Frankie Ruiz, Tito Rojas, and Gilberto ?Pulpo? Colon, to name a few. Héctor Rosado (Conga) has toured with David Burne, Dave Valentine, and Tito Puente. José ?Pepito? Gómez (Vocal/Tres) has performed with Maravilla de Florida, Charanga Latina Orchestra, Habana Ensemble, Los Que Son Son, and Gilberto Santarosa, among others.
