Advertising Sales Representative-River Journal North

Posted: 07/17/2022

This is a commission-based position - our current sales reps earn between $1000-$3000 per month working part-time.

Are you a current or former advertising sales rep looking for a part-time job selling print and digital advertising for a local media company that is growing every year?

River Towns Media, publisher of the River Journal and River Journal North (RJN), is looking for an experienced and independent sales person to join our RJN team.

RJN is a monthly print publication delivered by USPS to EVERY household in PeekskillCortlandt and Croton on Hudson. That’s 29,000 copies delivered directly to every mailbox. We are the ONLY publication providing local news, community stories, events, and business information to the residents of these communities. As a quality-of-life publication, we focus on the positive stories that make these communities such great places to live, work and play.

Our sister publication, River Journal is delivered to EVERY household in IrvingtonTarrytownSleepy Hollowand Briarcliff Manor plus high-income households in Ossining and has a circulation of 21,000. Together we deliver 50,000 copies monthly – more than any other publication in Westchester County.

Our website (25,000 visitors per month), newsletters, and email lists provide a full range of digital options for our marketing partners. We also produce live music events offering partners exclusive sponsorship opportunities.

We have over 150 current advertisers and most run at least six times per year - and as small businesses, they wouldn't keep spending if the ads weren't working

Our three current sales reps work on commission only and earn between $1000-$3000 per month working less than 20 hours per week.

This position is remote so you must be self-motivated and eager to grow with us. The publisher and marketing team are eager to help and will support you 100%!

Ideal candidates should live in Croton, Cortlandt or Peekskill. We’ll consider someone without ad sales experience if they are motivated to learn and sell.
