SUMMARY:“Seeking the Light” Karin Lemke Art Exhibit and Reception
DESCRIPTION:Tompkins Corners Cultural Center will present "Seeking the Light\," an exhibit of recent watercolors by Hudson Valley painter Karin Lemke. \n\nRecognized for its capture of the light\, Karin's work has often been exhibited at Howland Center in Beacon and in a number of venues in the Hudson Valley\, where she continues to study with Patricia Collins Broun. Karin attributes her "awakenings to landscapes\, seascapes and skyscapes" to her family's many land and sea journeys.\n\nMeet the Artist and enjoy refreshments and the musical stylings of Linda Thornton and Tim Pitt. The reception is free\, with donations gratefully accepted\, and is supported by a grant from the Anne Anastasi Foundation facilitated by Jonathan Galente and Mary Beth Minton.\n\nThis exhibit will be on view in our Maaike Hoekstra Gallery during events from November 3rd through December 14th\, 2023. Prints of Karin's paintings may be ordered at the reception and throughout the show's run.
