Born in 1980 in Tokyo\, Japan Unno attended Tokyo University for Music and Fine Art and upon graduation joined Yoshio Suzuki's trio. Unno has since performed with numerous jazz greats\, is a member of Jimmy Cobb Trio and toured as a member of the Roy Hargrove Quintet until Roy's passing last year. His trio includes Danton Boller (bass)\, and Jason Brown (drums).
